A passionate ambassador for the hospitality and tourism industry, Jason Fulvi is the President & CEO of Visit KC, the leading destination marketing organization for the Kansas City region.
From the organization’s headquarters in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, Fulvi oversees a team of 47 who support a vital and growing component of the region’s economy through marketing, sales and service of the convention and tourism industries—generating nearly 48,000 jobs and $5.5 billion in economic impact annually.
Fulvi joined Visit KC in September 2018 from VisitPITTSBURGH, where he served for 16 years and most recently as the organization’s Executive Vice President. In this role, Fulvi was responsible for the key operations of convention sales, partnerships, sports development, research and destination services.
Fulvi’s diverse background includes more than 32 years of service in the travel and tourism industry. He began his hospitality career as a hotel dishwasher, working his way up through the industry and serving companies such as Hilton Worldwide, Holiday Inn, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, TravelOne and Vista International.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Fulvi became a Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) in 2007, a status recognized in the tourism and hospitality industry as its highest educational achievement.
Fulvi is active within several industry organizations, including the American Society of Association Executives and the Professional Convention Management Association. In July 2018, he was appointed Chairman of the Destinations International Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering travel marketers.
