DESCRIPTION: LEGOLAND Discovery Center Kansas City opened at Crown Center in April 2012. Described as stepping into the biggest box of LEGO® bricks in the world, this interactive attraction features hands-on play areas, a 4D Cinema, LEGO building classes, LEGO-themed rides and special party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations. This highly interactive and educational experience is ideal for families with children between the ages of 3-10. In order to maintain a welcoming and safe environment, the attraction does not permit adults who are not accompanied by a child under the age of 16.

WHAT’S NEW: Guests can check out their favorite scenes from STAR WARS™ Episode IV: A New Hope in LEGOLAND Discovery Center’s newest MINILAND exhibit. This exhibit will be open to guests through the end of 2015.
HOURS: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (last admission at 5 p.m.) Sun.-Thurs.;10 a.m.-9 p.m. (last admission at 7 p.m.) Fri.-Sat.
ADMISSION: Tickets are $18 per person. Children two and under are admitted free. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and adults must accompanied by a child.
WHERE TO GET LUNCH: Take a lunch break at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Café. Offering food, snacks, drinks and a variety of gluten and wheat-free products, children and adults alike will surely feed their appetites.
WHAT’S NEARBY: Experience an amazing underwater world full of sharks, stingrays and other exotic marine life at SEA LIFE Aquarium Kansas City, the area’s premiere aquatic exhibit, located next to LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Take the Kansas City Streetcar to the Union Station stop (Pershing & Main).
From the north: Take I-35 South to MO-152 West. Follow MO-152 West to US-169 South. US-169 South becomes Broadway. Follow Broadway to Pershing Road. Turn east (left) on Pershing Road and continue to Crown Center at Grand Boulevard.
From the south: On I-35 exit at W Pennway St. (exit 1C). Turn east (right) on W Pennway. Turn north (left) on Southwest Blvd. Turn south (right) on Broadway. Turn east (left) at Pershing Road and continue to Crown Center at Grand Boulevard.
From the west: Take I-70 East to I-670. Exit I-670 on to I-35 South (exit 2T). Exit I-35 South at 20th Street (exit 1D). Turn left (east) on 20th Street. Turn right (south) on Grand Boulevard and continue to Crown Center at Pershing Road.
From the east: Take I-70 West to Locust St./Truman Rd. (exit 2Q). Turn left (south) on Grand Boulevard and follow to Crown Center at Pershing Road.
PARKING: Parking is free for the first six hours with validation in the Crown Center garage, 2450 Grand Boulevard. Weekend parking is free.
