Shortly after, NASCAR and the Indy Racing League announced they would both bring a slate of events to Kansas Speedway for its inaugural racing season. On June 2, 2001, the grandstand gates opened for the speedway’s first races—the NASCAR Winston West Series Kansas 150 and the ARCA RE/MAX Series BPU 200.
WHERE TO GET LUNCH: The Kansas Speedway is located next to several great dining options before and after the race. Enjoy a meal at Stix Restaurant, Jazz, A Louisiana Kitchen and Yard House, to name a few.

WHAT’S NEW: Located overlooking turn two of the speedway, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway provides a unique way to enjoy a view of the racetrack.
DON’T FORGET: Arrive early. The busiest hours at Kansas Speedway are 8 a.m.-noon on race days. The Speedway also permits coolers, so feel free to bring your own refreshments. Please check the website for gate entry policies.
PARKING: Parking passes for the grass lots closest to the grandstands are included in season ticket packages. Non-season ticket holders can purchase parking passes for $35 while supplies last.
