KANSAS CITY, MO—Celebrating and supporting the local hospitality industry, Kansas City Restaurant Week presented by Sysco is now less than one month away, returning to the metro Jan. 14-23.
Now in its 13th year, the annual dining event showcases the region’s diverse dining scene through 10 days of special multi-course menus, all affordably priced at $15, $35 and $45. As of Dec. 15, more than 175 restaurants are signed up to participate in the popular annual tradition.
In addition to casting a spotlight on KC’s culinary scene, 10 percent of proceeds for every Restaurant Week meal sold will benefit three local charities. In 2022, these causes include featured beneficiary the Guadalupe Centers, the Visit KC Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association (GKCRA) Education Foundation.
Over the course of its first 12 years, more than $3 million has been raised by restaurants and diners for important local causes, including significant contributions to groups such as The Don Bosco Centers, Harvesters, BoysGrow, the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kansas City.
Visit KC partnered with the GKCRA to create Kansas City Restaurant Week in 2010, and it has since become one of the largest events of its kind in the country. In 2021, KC Restaurant Week forged ahead during the pandemic and expanded to also include carryout and delivery offerings—components that are here to stay.

About Kansas City Restaurant Week
Kansas City Restaurant Week (KCRW) is KC’s premier dining event founded by the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and Visit KC in an effort to support the regional restaurant community. 2022 marks the 13th-consecutive year for the 10-day dining event, spotlighting KC as one of the country's premier dining and vacationing destinations. Each year, KCRW partners with local charities to raise funds for deserving causes. In 2021, restaurants boosted the event’s 12-year charitable total to nearly $3 million. About Guadalupe Centers
As the largest Hispanic organization in the Kansas City region and the 18th-largest not-for-profit in the area, Guadalupe Centers has gained national recognition as the “Longest Continuously Operating Organization Serving Latinos in the United States.” Guadalupe Centers serves a population disproportionately impacted by COVID-19: multi-generational, predominantly low-income and LatinX. Clients include employees in the service/hospitality industry, seasonal workers, minimum-wage earners and workers unable to work from home, prime candidates for infection and transmission. Many households include multiple generations. Economically, Guadalupe Centers families are among the hardest hit with unemployment rates soaring, the eviction moratorium expiring, and an overtaxed support services system depleted.
