KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association (KCCVA) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Kansas City Group Tour Association (KCGTA). As the official group travel representative for the destination, KCGTA will recruit and facilitate motorcoach tours to Kansas City, including youth travel, military reunions and other groups.
KCGTA Founder & President Kelli Freeman has been affiliated with the Kansas City CVA more than 20 years. In addition to representing KC at national tradeshows such as NTA and the American Bus Association, Kelli will work with KCCVA partners to enhance the region's portfolio of group-friendly itineraries, including new focuses on agri-tourism and the culinary scene.
"The Heart of America has always been an appealing and affordable destination for the group tour market. We're thrilled to ramp up our efforts as we reenergize our group tour program," said KCCVA Vice President of Destination Services Stacy Bartlett.
According the Missouri Division of Tourism, each motorcoach visiting the state brings an estimated $22,000 in visitor spending.
