KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association (KCCVA) is pleased to announce the recent addition of Loran Sandman as convention sales business development manager. Bringing with her more than six years of experience in marketing and convention sales, Loran will be responsible for the development and growth of new convention business leads.
"We are thrilled to have Loran join our team," said KCCVA Vice President of Convention Sales John Heeney. "The lifeblood of any business is new business, and we believe having Loran serve in this new role will accelerate our progress to grow new convention business for Kansas City."
A graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., Loran comes to the KCCVA from LivingSocial, an online marketplace, where she served as a senior marketing consultant. Prior to that, she worked as a meeting sales manager for the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association and for Accu-chek/Roche Diagnostics, a world leader in healthcare strategy and in-vitro diagnostics.
