KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Visit KC, the region’s leading hospitality and tourism organization, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Ashley Patton as community engagement manager. Patton’s first day was Aug. 8.
As community engagement manager, Patton will be responsible for the execution of Visit KC’s community outreach and volunteer programs, leading to more impactful involvement in local events. Patton will also work with partners and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s Visitor Center and other visitor experience programs.
Patton initially joined Visit KC in May as a partnerships and events intern, where she developed an engagement plan and standard operating procedures for communicating with Visit KC’s partners and members. Prior to joining the team, Patton served as a public speaking instructor at the University of Central Missouri (UCM), where she created customized lesson plans and worked with students to improve communications techniques. A graduate of Arizona State University, Ashley is currently pursuing a master’s degree at UCM.
“Ashley’s experience directly aligned with an organizational need,” said President & CEO Ronnie Burt. “A key component of our mission is to provide robust community support and outreach, and we’re excited for Ashley to take on that role with enthusiasm and expertise.”
