CINCINNATI – Becky Harsch, national accounts manager for Visit KC, was appointed to the Board of Directors of Sports ETA as a Destination Representative. Sports ETA is the only trade association for the sports events and tourism industry in America.
Harsch is a veteran leader of the sports events tourism industry and has served Visit KC for more than 20 years. In 2024, she attained the Sports Tourism Strategist designation through Sports ETA. She has also earned the Certified Meeting Planner designation and began her career at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City. Harsch is a graduate of University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
“We welcome Becky to the Sports ETA Board of Directors to represent destinations in our industry,” said John David, President & CEO of Sports ETA. “Becky has been a long-time member of the association and will bring creative and innovative ideas to Sports ETA on behalf of the member destinations.”
In her role at Visit KC, Harsch is primarily responsible for attracting sporting events of all sizes to the Kansas City area, from amateur and youth athletics to major events including the Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, the 2023 NFL Draft and FIFA World Cup 2026. She plans to draw on her significant successes within KC’s sports events industry to guide her leadership on the Sports ETA Board of Directors.
